    5. Customer-Specific Approvals

    Beyond industry standards, each aerospace OEM issues its own process specifications. These can define maximum recast layer and heat-affected zone limits, mandate non-destructive testing such as fluorescent penetrant or eddy current inspection, restrict wire types and dielectric fluids, and require approved-supplier-list status. A capable supplier will ask for your full specification package at quoting stage and flag any requirement it cannot meet. One that quotes without reading your specs is a warning sign.

    How to Verify a Supplier Beyond the Certificate
