Certification confirms the system; it does not confirm the factory can hold your tolerances. Before committing, also check the practical side: the machine park (3-, 4-, and 5-axis capacity), stated tolerance capability, inspection equipment such as CMMs, and whether the factory can supply material certificates and dimensional inspection reports with delivery. Asking for a sample First Article Inspection report on a part similar to yours is the single most revealing step — it shows the quality system producing real results, not just paperwork.
